Subang Jaya is often referred to as the pacesetters for other township developments, Subang Jaya is the flagship self-contained township which was started in 1974. The 1440 acres township which development is recognised as the largest township in the ASEAN region built by a single private property developer and the winner of FIABCI International Prix d'Excellence Award in 1995, making the then Sime UEP Properties Berhad the first property developer in Malaysia to achieve such an accomplishment.
